Helping you process trauma, find clarity, and move forward.
Hi, I’m David. I specialize in EMDR therapy and Person-Centred counselling, providing a safe and expert space to help you heal from past experiences and navigate life’s current challenges.
Whether you are looking for evidence-based trauma recovery through EMDR or a compassionate, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts through person-centred therapy, I offer a tailored approach to meet your unique needs. Based in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, I work with clients both in-person and online to facilitate lasting change.
Not sure if therapy is right for you? I offer a free 50-minute initial consultation (online or in-person) so we can get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit.
You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone – I’m here when you’re ready.
What is Person-Centered Counselling?
Person-Centered Counselling is a non-directive form of talk therapy that focuses on the individual’s ability to find their own solutions and achieve personal growth. This approach is grounded in the belief that every person has an inherent capacity for self-awareness, self- healing, and self-actualization when given the right conditions.
Unlike some therapeutic models where the counselling takes on the role of an expert or guide, in person-centered counselling, the client is seen as the expert in their own life. The counsellor’s role is to create a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where the client can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences freely.
What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps process and reduce the emotional impact of difficult memories. Recognised by organisations such as the NHS, WHO, and American Psychiatric Association, EMDR is particularly effective for trauma, anxiety, and other emotional difficulties.
Through gentle techniques such as guided eye movements or tapping, EMDR helps reduce the intensity of painful experiences so they no longer feel overwhelming.
Whether used as a standalone therapy or alongside person-centred counselling, EMDR can support healing, clarity, and emotional freedom — at your own pace, in a safe and supportive environment.
If you’re curious about starting therapy or exploring what support might be right for you, I offer an initial free 50-minute initial consultation. It’s a chance to ask questions, learn more about how I work, and see if it feels like a good fit — no pressure, just a conversation.
